This selection gathers 90 viscose rugs, chosen for their sheen and soft, silky handle, within our rugs by material range. Most pieces here are woven in viscose alone or blended with wool, and each listing details fabrication, composition or size, so you match the rug to your room before adding it to your cart.
Viscose, sometimes called vegetable silk, catches light in a way wool never does. Within this catalogue, 90 rugs use viscose, 62 combine it with wool for added body, and 20 pair it with bamboo silk for extra shine. Fabrication varies: 41 models are hand-tufted, 29 hand-knotted and 26 hand-woven. A hand-knotted rug, such as Harmony, carries a flatter construction with relief detail, while hand-tufted pieces give a dense, even pile.
Size is the second decision. A three-seat sofa measures roughly 200 to 220 cm, and a coffee table around 120 x 60 cm. The front feet of a sofa typically rest on the rug, with 20 to 40 cm of floor left visible around the edges. For a living room with a coffee table, a 200x300 rug usually covers the right footprint.

Viscose brings sheen and a silky touch that wool does not match. It also marks more easily underfoot and reacts to damp, so it suits rooms with moderate traffic rather than constant wear. Several models in this range blend viscose with wool precisely for that reason: the wool adds resilience, the viscose adds lustre, as with the wool and viscose weight of 2.65 kg per square metre found in some blends here.
If you want a harder-wearing floor covering, wool rugs stand up better to daily use.
For a warmer, more textured feel, jute rugs offer a rougher, rustic hand.
For a close cousin to viscose with a similar lustre, bamboo silk rugs are woven on the same principle, often blended with viscose itself.
Grey is the most represented colour here, with 29 models, followed by beige with 19 and white with 14. Pattern-wise, 70 rugs sit in the designer category and 29 follow a geometric line. A grey piece such as Erica, hand-woven with a 0.6 cm pile, suits a vintage-leaning living room, and its silvery grey tone pairs naturally with chrome or silver-finished accessories such as lamps or side tables.
A plain grey model like Akka keeps the floor quiet when the rest of the room already carries pattern and colour.
Hand-knotted viscose rugs show a finer surface and take longer to produce, since each knot is tied individually. Hand-tufted pieces are punched through a backing with a tufting gun, then the pile is sheared, giving a regular velvet finish.
A viscose rug with a geometric motif sits well under metal accessories. Chrome legs on a coffee table or silver picture frames nearby echo the sheen of the fibre rather than competing with it.
Viscose gives a silky sheen and a soft, cool handle that wool does not reproduce. It suits living rooms and bedrooms with moderate footfall. For passages with heavier daily use, a wool or wool-viscose blend holds its shape better over time.
Viscose marks more readily underfoot than wool and reacts to damp, so spills need prompt attention. It also flattens a little faster in high-traffic spots. These traits explain why many models in this range blend viscose with wool for added body.
Neither is strictly better; they serve different purposes. Wool resists daily wear and keeps its loft longer, while viscose delivers a sheen and silky touch wool lacks. A wool and viscose blend combines both qualities in one rug.
Viscose alone feels softer underfoot but is less resistant to heavy daily passage than wool. Rugs blending viscose with wool, found throughout this range, cope better with regular use while keeping some of the fibre's natural sheen.
